The 2022 SMAANZ Conference Organising Committee looks forward to developing an exciting academic program and a range of social and networking opportunities. The committee combines academics with extensive experience with SMAANZ and EASM conference organisation, as well as logistical support provided by the Sport Innovation Research Group and the Swinburne Business School.
Conference Chair - Professor Emma Sherry
Professor Emma Sherry is the Co-Director of the Sport Innovation Research Group, within the Swinburne University School of Business, Law & Entrepreneurship. Emma has previously hosted the 2011 SMAANZ conference at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. Emma will be supported by other faculty members, as well as the Sport Innovation Research Group team members.

Dr Sam Duncan is an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Sport Innovation Research Group with many years’ experience in the sport sector.

Conference Support - A/Professor Adam Karg
Associate Professor Adam Karg is an Associate Professor of Marketing and Co-Director, Sport Innovation Research Group. Adam has previously hosted 2014 SMAANZ conference at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia and is the current president of SMAANZ.
